“ Whilst refereeing a football match my husband Christopher collapsed, he was rushed to Bradford Hospital, where he was diagnosed with an aneurysm. Arrangements were made for him to be immediately transferred to specialists in Huddersfield. On the way to Huddersfield, his heart stopped and he had to be resuscitated, this happened again on arrival at Huddersfield and again as he was about to go to the operating theatre, unfortunately, the third time resuscitation tempts were in vain and Christopher passed away, two months short of his 66th birthday.”
In memory of my late husband my children, grandchildren and myself raise money to support the Circulation Foundation in their mission to fight Vascular disease.
My eldest daughter Karen completed the three peak challenge last summer with her two daughters Holly and Amy.
My youngest son Jonathan raised money, not only growing a beard for November but then proceeding to have it waxed off! while my younger daughter Andrea has raised money running in numerous events.
Jonathan and I also organised a 5k run last year and are in the process of organising it again this year. I am fortunate to have the support of both family and friends on helping on the day”
