Manchester Vascular Walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks

A huge thank you goes out to nurses Grace Shurmer, Alice Bailey, Jennifer Tavakoli Styring, Ellie Gibbs, and physiotherapist, Naheed Ahmed from the Manchester Vascular Centre. They completed the The Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge on September 1st. It is a 24 mile hike with 1,585m of ascending climbs across the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

The team finished the walk in an amazing 9.5 hours in terrible weather. They didn’t give up and to date have raised over £600 for the Circulation Foundation and.

They are holding many events for September’s Vascular Awareness month, including a virtual bike race from Lands End to John O’Groats, a cake sale and a sponsored walk around the hospital for patients.
