Pro-Am Charity Golf Day

Andy Picton reports on the day:

For the second consecutive year, the 4th Annual Circulation Foundation  Pro Am golf event was hosted at Hart Common Golf Club.

A full complement of 20 teams (60 amateurs, 20 PGA professionals) braved the frequent heavy showers in the morning and completed the course in great spirts.

Even with the poor weather the course held up well and the greens in particular, which looked in danger of flooding in the morning, were clear within 30 minutes of the rain stopping. Well done to the green staff for all their hard work.

The clouds parted by mid-afternoon and we all enjoyed a relaxed BBQ on the sun-blessed terrace outside the club house. Janet and her team battled the weather to produce a deluxe steak, ribs and chicken BBQ which went down well with copious amounts of beverage.

We generated over £300 from the raffle of two signed Manchester United football shirts, won by Dan Coleman and Andy Limbert, with additional income from tombola and a putting competition a total of £1,300.00 was raised beating the £850 from last year.

An amazing effort by all and a fabulous amount of money to raise. A huge thank you from everyone at the Circulation Foundation.
