The Royal College of Surgeons and the Circulation Foundation is delighted to announce up to two one year Joint Research Fellowships.

The Circulation Foundation is the major charity for peripheral vascular disease funding and promoting research into the causes, treatment and prevention of vascular disease. It is supported by the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland and was established in 1992 by vascular surgeons committed to eradicating vascular disease.

The aim of the fellowship is to assist vascular surgical trainees to establish preliminary research studies with the aim of providing pilot data or developing proof of concept data with the goal of submitting successful larger NIHR bids.

The award covers basic salary, N.I and superannuation contributions, as well as a grant of up to £3k for consumables and a travel allowance of up to £500 to present the work at a scientific meeting.

At the end of your period of research, you will be asked to submit a report of your work including details of presentations and publications.

Application closing date is 4 pm, 9th April 2018.
